On Monday, we came together as a whole school community to celebrate a truly special achievement – our OPAL Platinum Award.
This prestigious award places Tanworth-in-Arden Church of England Primary School & Nursery amongst the very best schools in the country for play, recognising our commitment to providing high-quality, inclusive and enriching play opportunities for all children.
We were delighted to welcome Lukas Jutkiewicz from Birmingham City Football Club, who kindly accepted the award on our behalf and joined us for the celebrations. His support helped make the occasion even more memorable for our pupils, who thoroughly enjoyed sharing in the excitement of this fantastic achievement.
The event was a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the incredible transformation of playtimes at our school and to celebrate the contributions of our pupils, staff, governors, families and wider community who have supported our OPAL journey.
A huge thank you to Lukas Jutkiewicz for taking the time to be part of our celebration, and to everyone who has helped us create playtimes where children can truly flourish and experience "life in all its fullness".
We are immensely proud of this achievement and look forward to continuing our OPAL journey in the years ahead.
